Although money helps with keeping the lights on, the purpose of shop.ReneBabin.com does not revolve around money. Shop.ReneBabin.com exist as a channel through which the arts and culture can be shared and celebrated with integrity.

The following Store Policies attempts to address any concerns and answer questions you may have before and after placing an order. If after reading the following F.A.Q. (Frequently Asked Questions), you do not find the answer you are seeking, please contact us and your concerns or questions will be addressed. 

The processing of your order begins the moment checkout is complete – or – when payment information has been supplied, dependent on how your order was placed. We submit our orders to our curated gallery suppliers 72-hrs following the placement of your order. Following our order submission to the supplier, a tracking number will be emailed to you within 11 days so that you may trace your parcel along its journey. If you require your order sooner, please contact us so that we may look into accommodating your request.

Depending on the medium type and category of work contained in your order, shipping is FREE. If the work you are ordering features FREE SHIPPING, it will be indicated on the work’s page as well as on your receipt or order confirmation.

At the time these policies where written, we only ship to Canada and continental United-States (States located on the continent of North America). If you would like to have an order shipped internationally, outside of Canada or continental United-States, you are welcomed to contact us, and we’ll do what we can to accommodate your request.

If the delivery address for your order is located in Canada, your order will be shipped from either Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia or from Montreal, Quebec, that is depending on the item you are ordering. If the order’s destination address is located in the United-States and it is a print, it will come from New York, all other items will come from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.

The currency is listed in Canadian Dollars. The exchange rate on foreign currency will be reflected on your credit card’s monthly or daily financial statement. This exchange rate is out of our control and is subject to change.

The final amount of taxes you will pay depend on the delivery address or your order. If your order is being delivered to Yukon, your order will be taxed Yukon’s tax rate and the same applies to all provinces and territories, the tax rate depends on the delivery address. At the time this policy was written, if the delivery address is located in the United-States, you will not be charged taxes.

If you wish to cancel your order, you will have 24-hours following check-out or following the submission of your payment information to do so. You can cancel your order within 24-hours, the amount paid will be refunded or placed towards a different purchase at your discretion. If more than 24-hours has passed since your order was placed, you are still welcomed to get in touch, and we’ll attempt to accommodate your request. Cancelling orders can be done by contacting us with your order number.   

Please look in your email app’s “junk” or “spam” folder, it is possible that your mail client settings or hosting service provider interpreted the email “[email protected]” of being of an unsolicited source. Simply drag and drop the message from your “spam” or “junk” folder to your “inbox” folder -or- adjust pertaining settings to allow “[email protected]” emails to come through. If for any reason you are unable to retrieve your confirmation email from “[email protected]”, please contact us and we’ll be more than happy to provide you with your order details using other means.

We guarantee that you and/or the recipient(s) of our work will be pleased with the results. However, if an unlikely issue would occur such as; receiving a format not matching the work’s description, receiving a defect-on-arrival piece, please contact us so that we may evaluate and audit the source and cause and to remediate the problem as quickly as possible. This also applies to issues that may originate from the handling of artworks by courier services.

In the event of an unresolved issue would occur following an investment (store item) where funds must be returned to the investor ( store client), the piece will first need to be resent for analysis. Following receipt of the piece, the investor will be refunded the investment amount minus a 15% restocking fee and shipping cost.

We have such fate in our gallery suppliers that we can blatantly state – NO, we do not offer refunds. We are quite confident that you will be pleased with our work and encourage you to consider our work as a positive investment. However, individual cases can be evaluated to seek a satisfactory resolution.

When you make a purchase or acquire an Exclusive work:

• You stimulate Local Economies,

• You Actively Promote Arts & Culture,

• You are making a positive environmental choice – Works are not and will never be mass-produced and when ordering prints, a tree is planted for every print you order,

– and –

• You get piece-of-mind, knowing that it is and always will be in our best interest for you to be well-served.​

When you acquire work marked Exclusive, this means:

• The work has a very low-quantity production. This maybe a 1-off piece, or 1-of-5, etc.
• You are provided with letter, personally signed by the artist containing your unique artwork number, thanking you for your investment. (We highly recommend that you place that letter back into the envelop it came in and store this envelop with the art piece.)
• Using our offline ledger, we enter investor details along with the acquired piece number for ensured provenance, especially when matched to the artist letter.
• For each piece, once the production limit is reached, that work will be removed as a purchase/investment option in the specified Exclusive production format for the period indicated along with the piece.

Please Note: The Artist Letter is sent to the same civic address as the piece. The letter is prepared and sent 5 to 7 days following confirmation of shipment from our gallery suppliers. This helps ensure the piece will arrives on site before the Artist Letter.

Every order placed at shop.ReneBabin.com are completed individually and professionally inspected to ensure they meet the up-most quality standards. This is an ecological method which reduces waste and warrants an overall positive experience. However, if you require your order for a special scheduled event or occasion that is outside of the scope of our store policies, you are invited to contact us, and we will do our best to meet your timeline requirements.   

To help reduce unsolicited telephone calls, we choose to not publish our telephone number on our website. If you prefer to place an order over the telephone or would simply like to ask questions to a real person, please start by using the contact form on our contact page, our email reply will contain a Canadian telephone number by which we can be reached.
